Boyd Jones was selected as the General Contractor for renovation of the Nebraska State Historical Society Headquarters. The renovations brought the facility’s safety, fire suppression, heating, cooling and ventilation systems up to current standards and the 1953 building into compliance with guidelines for the physically disabled. Renovations included refurbishment of mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems and the addition of two exterior stair towers for fire safety. The building’s interior also underwent a light remodeling. The project created a safer environment for staff, researchers and the collections that are held in trust for the citizens of Nebraska.
