Located in Keya Paha County in northeast Nebraska, the Springfield Wind Farm features two 1.5 MW, direct drive Vensys 77 turbines. With rotor diameters of 252 feet and hub heights of 213 feet, these turbines replaced the earliest utility-scale wind turbines to be built in the state of Nebraska. The two towers at this site are also the first Nebraska-built towers to be used on a wind facility in the state.
