Boyd Jones converted a distribution facility into a 65,000 SF headquarters space for Scooter’s Coffee, consolidating the retailer’s corporate offices, commercial bakery, coffee-roasting operations, and distribution facilities into a single location. The new headquarters also contains a full-scale, functioning replica of a Scooter’s Coffee retail store for training, and the new bakery and roastery are four and size times larger, respectively, than their predecessors.
Partitioned offices encircle an open floor plan that fosters collaboration among the team while finishes and features evoke the Scooter’s Coffee brand. A glass overhead door adjacent to a spacious conference room opens up to create an expanded meeting space. Retrofitted skylights and the removal of a section of the second-floor mezzanine allow natural light to filter through the main office, while back-lit paneling brings the building façade to life.
