Boyd Jones installed the tallest GE wind turbine in the state of Nebraska (along with its counterpart in Polk County) as EPC contractor for this single-turbine project in Cuming County near Wisner. The project is home to a 2.5MW GE turbine with an 89-meter hub height and 127-meter rotor diameter. The local public power utility that is purchasing electricity from the project benefits from power cost savings, a more diverse wholesale power mix, price certainty, and boosts to local tax coffers through economic development.
