In an interview this morning, Minden Public Schools Superintendent Melissa Wheelock said that gathering additional input will be the next step in the project. During its regular meeting Tuesday, the school board approved hiring a contractor, Boyd Jones Construction, to serve as construction manager “at risk.” Boyd Jones has offices in Lincoln and Omaha.
Boyd Jones was selected from eight contractors who submitted proposals for the expansion to the school district.
Representatives from Boyd Jones, Omaha architecture consulting firm DLR Group, and fiscal agent D.A. Davidson, which also has offices in Lincoln and Omaha, will meet with board members April 16 to schedule another round of facility advisory committee meetings to determine the scope of the project.
