The Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC) is a not-for-profit credentialing agency for athletic trainers starting in the profession. The organization focuses on standards of practice and continuing education opportunities.
This project includes the complete renovation of two floors of a building in downtown Omaha. The first floor is home to the BOC offices, as well as two indoor parking stalls. The second floor features a two-bedroom apartment for BOC staff or clients to use when in town for business or training and can also be rented on Airbnb. The unit features a full kitchen, wet bar, laundry, and outdoor patio.
Working in a densely populated downtown location presents specific challenges as there is no room to prep or store supplies. This meant materials and subcontractors had to be coordinated on a room-by-room basis. The team focused on strong industry relationships and diligent communication to keep the owner informed and subcontractors, suppliers, and our own crews on schedule.
