Springfield Platteview Community Schools selected Boyd Jones for capital improvement projects to accommodate significant enrollment growth in the district. Because the projects were reliant upon bond financing, our role included working with the district through the pre-bond planning phase and attending meetings where we could answer questions from district patrons. Effective pre-bond support helped pass the bond issue with 68% approval.
Springfield Elementary is a completely new, 77,800 SF facility that accommodates three sections of each grade level. The building facilitates 21st century learning methodology with a variety of classroom models and bright, open spaces. The expanded footprint also includes space dedicated to preschool, which did not exist at the previous building.
