The Millwork Commons neighborhood is an up-and-coming development north of Downtown Omaha that features outdoor recreation spaces, shopping, and dining. Boyd Jones was selected to complete the outdoor recreation spaces which include green space, walkways, and outdoor market area for food trucks, and a skate park/basketball court. The area blends the authenticity of Omaha’s industrial roots with the vitality of today’s innovators and creators. Millwork Commons Park reflects that through activated streetscapes, green areas, plazas, and patios that create more defined spaces and “outdoor rooms” that can host a variety of events and exhibits.
