Boyd Jones installed the tallest GE wind turbine in the state of Nebraska (along with its counterpart in Cuming County) as EPC contractor for this project in Polk County near Osceola. The project is home to a 2.5MW GE turbine with an 89-meter hub height and 127-meter rotor diameter. The local public power utility that is purchasing electricity from the project benefits from power cost savings, a more diverse wholesale power mix, price certainty, and boosts to local tax coffers through economic development.
