Fontenelle Forest

Boyd Jones was proud to partner with the Fontenelle Nature Association to deliver the Katherine and Fred Buffett Forest Learning Center and the Martha Hitchcock Wetlands Learning Center.

These two new facilities support Fontenelle Forest in its mission to help people enjoy the wild of nature while finding inspiration to care for the natural world.

The Learning Center serves as the primary entrance to Fontenelle Forest and includes a welcome desk, an indoor “walking trail” and interactive exhibits, event spaces, offices, and more.

Mindful construction practices, including a geothermal heating and cooling system, extensive natural lighting, and durable materials created a conscious facility built with the planet in mind.

Throughout construction, Boyd Jones was extremely careful to minimize disruptions to the delicate surrounding environment, preserving the beauty of the space while delivering the educational facilities that overlook the beauty of the Forest.
