Continuing our decades-long partnership with Baxter Auto Group, Boyd Jones was selected to build four facilities simultaneously in a project spanning nearly 167,000 SF. Located on a 26-acre site, we constructed a detail shop and three new dealerships for Baxter’s Audi, Volkswagen, and Subaru brands.
Using a strategic phased approach, design work was completed first for the detail facility, which enabled our crews to begin concrete work for that project as design was finalized for Audi, Volkswagen, and then Subaru. Once foundations were complete for the detail shop, we shuffled our expert foundation crews to the Audi site while building construction began on the detailing facility, and the remaining projects followed in succession.
Another benefit of this strategy was that it made for a more competitive bid process. For example, electrical work for individual facilities was able to be broken down into smaller jobs and also made for a more efficient flow of labor as the projects progressed.
The finished facilities feature showrooms, customer lounges, offices, service centers, and more.
