Boyd Jones is pleased to share they have maintained a recordable incident rate of zero in 2017.
“This is a tremendous accomplishment in our industry,” said Jon Crane, President of Boyd Jones. “I’m incredibly proud of our hardworking people who made this possible and consistently put safety first. Reaching this achievement is a reflection of the excellent training our team receives and everyone’s daily commitment to our core value of safety.”
In 2017, Boyd Jones invested in more than 500 hours of safety training with personnel working on projects spanning the Midwest region. That commitment to safety through regular training, communication, and teamwork is reflected in their excellent Experience Modification Rate (EMR), which has consistently outperformed the industry average by approximately 30% for more than 10 years.
“We believe safety is everyone’s job,” noted Jared Jensen, Safety Director at Boyd Jones. “We encourage open communication and empower our teams to ask questions and speak up if they see the potential for an issue. Everyone has a stake in safety. There’s no task more important than going home safely to our family and friends.”
“Safety is our number one value at Boyd Jones,” Crane concluded. “This achievement is proof that making safety a priority and investing in its success pays off.”
