Boyd Jones led the construction of a 189,200 SF fabrication facility for Paxton & Vierling Steel (PVS Metals), designed to support long-term growth and optimize steel processing operations. Working in close coordination with the PVS team and architect, we delivered a highly specialized, heavy-industrial facility with precision and efficiency to enable high-volume production.
Inside the facility, we oversaw the integration of mission-critical equipment, including two overhead bridge cranes weighing 35T and 45T that service a storage area built to accommodate stacks of three 80,000 lb coils. We supported the installation of a 1M+ lb stretcher leveler and coordinated utility and structural needs for its operation.
The automated TRUMPF tower storage system and three laser cutters were precisely aligned to ensure seamless material flow, supported by additional lasers and press brakes.
Four 20T bridge cranes were carefully situated to move product through fabrication and into a two-lane, drive-thru shipping area, complete with an in-floor truck scale to streamline outbound logistics. Boyd Jones also constructed the attached office building with workspaces for support staff, a break room, locker rooms, and restrooms for production employees.
