The new Crete Carrier Diesel Technology and Welding Center at Southeast Community College’s Milford, Nebraska campus is an immersive instructional facility for students seeking hands-on diesel mechanics and welding career training. Boyd Jones built the 54,000 SF facility from the ground up, partnering closely with the project team to integrate specialty equipment, ensuring that the space was ready for classes to begin with school in the fall.
Key features of the space include 30 bays for welding instruction, seven for diesel instruction on agricultural equipment, and nine for diesel truck instruction. The facility also features multiple classrooms for engines, hydraulics, transmissions, components, and standard and large engines education.
