St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church

As the largest project ever undertaken by a single parish within the Omaha Archdiocese, Boyd Jones completed 56,000 SF of additions at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. This comprehensive expansion set the parish up for continued growth among what was already one of the largest Catholic churches in the city.

Additions included a new worship center, day chapel, and church office complex designed to accommodate parish needs for generations to come. The worship center features handsome tongue-in-groove wood ceilings accentuated by beams traversing the length and width of the nave, in addition to a sunken baptistery.

A geothermal well field and heat pump system provides a renewable energy resource for heating and cooling the facility, and slate tiles serve as an extremely durable and long-lasting roof cover. About 500 new parking stalls support the parish’s continued growth, giving ample space for the church to welcome visitors with open arms.
