The Millwork Commons neighborhood blends Omaha’s authentic, industrial roots with the vitality of today’s innovators and creators. Boyd Jones completed the 50,000 SF Millwork Commons Park outdoor recreation area and green space, which serves as a hub to foster community connection in downtown Omaha.
The expansive outdoor area complements the surrounding blend of recreational, shopping, and dining spaces, creating a holistic community feel that welcomes residents and visitors alike.
Activated streetscapes, dedicated green areas, plazas, and patios create more defined “outdoor rooms” that can host various events and exhibits and serve as the neighborhood’s central hub. Highlights of this project include walkways, ample seating, an outdoor market spot for food trucks, a skate park, and a basketball court.
