Kids Can Community Center

Nearly 60 years after we built the organization’s original facility, Kids Can Community Center selected Boyd Jones to build a new child development center. Located in Omaha, Nebraska, the 27,000 SF space doubled the capacity of Kids Can’s existing facility to 250 children.

This expanded the organization’s early childhood education programming and more than doubled its out-of-school programming abilities. It also improved Kids Can’s visibility and recognition and ensured future expansion opportunities.

The new building includes a warming kitchen, STEM room, expanded community space, a gymnasium, and adjacent green space for potential outdoor youth sports. Larger rooms enable Kids Can to include infant childcare for the first time in the organization’s history and meet other programming needs.
