Rail & Commerce Building

After decades of neglect, the Burlington Mail Terminal was revitalized and transformed into the Rail & Commerce Building. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building was completely renovated to incorporate elements from and preserve the integrity of the original 1926 design while offering modern amenities.

The building, located just outside of Omaha’s bustling Old Market neighborhood, spans four floors and is home to several corporate headquarters, a cafe, and a coworking space. Highlights of the 105,400 SF building include a fitness center, kitchen facilities, a rooftop solar array, and customized workspaces.

Boyd Jones also constructed a connected two-story parking structure and renovated a former train loading space, adding a level to transform the space into an underground parking garage, providing onsite parking facilities.
