With the original school built in 1936 and serving as a community centerpiece, Boyd Jones partnered with Minden Public Schools to transform the high school, making updates to meet current needs and serve the Nebraska school into the future. Boyd Jones aided in every project phase, from bond planning, which helped pass a successful election, through construction services and facility maintenance.
This 110,000 SF addition and renovation features a new two-story classroom wing that facilitates significantly modernized course offerings. Transformations and expansions spanned a new theater with a 500-seat auditorium, large competition gym, dual commons and cafeteria space, shop area, and general-use classroom space, and added three parking lots. Safety and security updates ensure the well-being of students, teachers, and staff.
The addition also features several historical elements from the original school that were preserved as an important part of the community’s history, including stonework and signage, which are now featured in the interior.
