As student and community needs evolved, Central City Public Schools envisioned a series of renovations and additions to modernize elementary and junior-senior high facilities. Boyd Jones joined hands with the district, completing 60,000 SF of updates and four additions totaling 15,000 SF.
Projects were completed in two distinct phases. Boyd Jones first created an expanded special education classroom, a new preschool classroom, and an administrative office at the elementary school.
In Phase II, additions at the junior-senior high school created a new cafeteria and commons, a secure entrance, an administrative office, a chemistry classroom and lab, and automotive, diesel, and construction labs in the industrial technology center. Renovations updated administrative offices, upgraded the industrial technology center, and modernized classrooms, lab spaces, and storage areas.
