UNO College of Public Affairs & Community Service

Boyd Jones partnered with the University of Nebraska Omaha to transform and expand the College of Public Affairs and Community Service (CPACS) building, creating a modern academic environment designed to support continued enrollment growth.  

The project included 20,000 SF of new academic space that creates a new front door to the building, along with updated finishes, learning environments, and common areas throughout the existing 110,000 SF building. 

Construction of the UNO CPACS renovation and addition project took place while highly sensitive television, radio, and aviation programs remained fully operational. Keeping high communication with the University at every step, our team carefully planned each phase around ongoing classes and activities, using secure barriers to separate construction from occupied areas and coordinating work to minimize noise and disruption. As needs and schedules evolved, we remained flexible and worked closely with UNO to keep the project moving safely and efficiently through completion. 

Creating room for more than 300 additional students, the transformed CPACS building strengthened the academic environment and supported UNO’s continued growth.
